Model 256 pressure transmitter is designed and manufactured by patented technology – variable capacitance sensing technology. The 17-4PH stainless steel diaphragm and its rigidly connected ceramic gold-plated electrode form a variable capacitor. When the pressure changes, the capacitance value can also be changed. A change occurs, this capacitance value is detected and the change in capacitance is converted to a precise linear DC signal by Setra’s unique integrated circuit.
Suitable for corrosive liquids or gases
The Model 256 cast aluminum housing features a dual-cavity design with sensitive components and circuitry and a single cavity for the terminals. The Model 256 uses a “dry” capacitor structure that is internally filled with silicone oil or fluoro oil, so it does not contaminate the measurement media. The Model 256 is NEMA4-compliant and can be used 24 hours a day.
The Model 256 Pressure Transmitter has a wide measuring range, small size, easy installation and wiring, and can be widely used in chemical, petroleum, coal mine and other all-weather environments.
